Austin Chase @ Boulavard

It is very easy to attract crowd to your coffee house. Just brew your strong and best aroma coffee all the time.
Fish attracted to the bait, so do people, especially coffee lover like me. I felt like a fish who just cannot help myself but take the bait.

Still remember few years back when Rotiboy started their business. Rows and rows of "fishes" queuing up for the aroma.

We are all dominated by our senses. Pretty faces are pleasant to remember. Awful body odor chase you away. That is why my customers who doing flavor and fragrance ingredients are laughing to their banks all the time.

Dragon-i Mid Valley

Remembered many years go when it first started it's business, we when for the "siu long pao". Many years later mum suddenly craved for it and we visited again.

Somehow this time we found the food "so so nia". Maybe there has been booming of restaurant through out the years. Or the original cook is not already on guard.

But the crowd still plentiful. After all, it is in Mid Valley Mall. No matter what you offer in that mall, your place will be full during meal hour.

Sushi Zanmai @ Garden Mid Valley

The world says that a man need to pay for the bill when he dines with a lady. If he dines with another man he must also pretend to be generous to pay.

That's why a professional female salesperson has certain advantage when dealing with Mr Uncle-Customer. Can he feels not appreciated when a young lady pay for his meal?

However, bear in mind that a too sexy thing might give negative effect on your product. Those uncles might not be able to differentiate your product with the delicacy of your representative.

I am not used to let girl pay for my bill. Maybe I am a little ego, or I just do not have the looks like F4. Uncle is the one should pay for the lunch right?

That is why it is so memorable when she pays for the Sushi Zanmai.

Sometimes, a little odd makes your life spark.

Celebration for her new job's pay day. I "tumpang gembira".

Chili Pan Mian @ Jalan Ipoh

I am afraid to ride roller coaster. The last time I did that was when I in Standard 6, during our year end trip to Genting. It scare the hell out of me.

I paid to scare myself. I was thinking, if something happened, will the gate keeper up there laugh my stupidity that I pay for my own dead just because wanna feel the danger and so call "excitement". I am certainly not prepare for that.

Yes, you can laugh like her when she learned my phobia. But I still am not going to risk my life for that just like some of my friend never "risk" their life for the ultimate chili experience.

I dare you if you know that your stomach is going to pain like bleeding, your tongue and lips going to burn like fire, and you are going to sweat even heavier than under the heaviest rain, you will still "enjoying" the ultimate chili experience.

I thought I am brave in front of chili. It shows that I am still a little something... like a man.

But (yes, a but), she can eat 10 times spicier than me, and still don't care about the speed and height.

So, the moral of this is, never compare, just do what you like. Live you life in full, by yourself!

Who cares if she is stronger than you, right?

Can you read the Chinese words? Chili "pan mian" it calls.

See the crowd? And they had been waiting for hours. It's damn slow in serving. But all have the patient to wait for the "kill".

It served with no chili, ordinary self made "pan mian" with very "Q" texture. I just love the half boiled egg. Fantastic!

Add yourself your own portion of chili. Mind you, its extremely hot!

Mixed yourself and this is the ultimate chili "pan mian". It burn!

Stone Good (Eat Good)

Spring cleaning of my picture folder and found these unpost photos.
New year eve 2007, I was having simple yet unique dinner in Bukit Bintang (before the crazy jam jam jam count down).
The Stone restaurant was at top floor of Bukit Bintang. Not extraordinary, but because the date was memorable.

Fish n Chip with Wine.

Brazilian Coffee Lamb Chop.

YinYong & Papaya Milk

Bak Kut Teh @ Selayang

What is the most popular food in Malaysia?

Well, we can see tonnes of mamak stalls everywhere.

But what about Chinese food?
Well, beside chicken rice, I would say Bak Kut Teh is getting more and more crowded.

The Original Chan Saw Lin 3rd Road Fish Head

I seen Chan Saw Lin fish head everywhere in town or out town. I thought they are the franchisee but Fong said only idiot go to those restaurants because all operators are not related to each other and they just pirated the name sake to fish the "fish head".

I felt like a fish head because I had been to these kind of imitation shops few times, few places.

Look Out Point... Romantic Site

Can you name me any romantic place to have a passion dinner with your "one" in KL? Oh! Plenty for sure. Just flick your RM notes and you can have a fascinating candle light on top of KL tower. Or a boat cuisine in the Putrajaya Lake.

Through you another task. With less than 35 bucks, how can you find a better place to have dinner in view of the entire KL? Yes! KL view with western cuisine, at Look Out Point, in Ampang.

Started with a ... err, soup? Or some creamy milky water...

Ikan Bakar Seri Menanti, Jalan Bellamy KL.

Fong has wanted to take me to his favorite ikan bakar stall months ago but we could not find any opportunity to sneak out during lunch hour. We are too popular in the office as we stuck with the colleagues during lunch all the time.

Not that we do not want to bring them for good food, but some time too many heads and mouths result nothing special.

So, one fine afternoon we two brother quietly drove to Sungai Besi, Jalan Bellamy (just beside Istana Negara) to have the best ikan bakar in... Istana Negara area, at least.

There is one row of stall all selling same thing, ikan bakar (satay kajang mentality), I am not sure which is the best, but seems like all share same quality with equally crowd.

The environment was nothing special and hot. I saw many office workers sat there with tie and sweating like water pouring on them. But they seems enjoy the grilled seafood very much in that condition. Funny as patrons were "grilled" under the zinc roof eating grilled fish.

The food? "Mou Tak Ding". For long I had never have such a good grilled seafood. Those stuffs were very well marinated with special source, finely grilled on hot plate and served together with special prepared chilli sauce. I voiced nothing during the course. My mouth was full of... sotong bakar.

Price? Value for what's inside my wallet.

Picture taken with the guy BBQing fresh marinated seafood. See the smoke? Bet it smells fantastic!

Sotong came from heaven! This is the picture I had in my mind when I saw it.

Please do not judge this kembong as dry and hard as it seems. The flesh was terrible fresh. Dipped with the special chili sauce... wow!

Another fine grilled fish!

Err... with such good seafood, even it came with normal rice with vegetables, still make me a memorable trip.
