Oriantal Banquet Lunch Buffet

"Your offer is 150% higher than XXX"

"Your price is expensive!"

"If you match your competitor price, I will certainly buy from you."

"..."

Such comments I hear time after time. I even unintentionally use it back to the seller when I tried to negotiate some time.

But, should we focus on price instead of value? Why there are businesses charging "expensive" but people keep coming back? Is it because they are lucky or they have hell a lot of great salesman working very hard?

A business will prosper if you have unique advantage and value offer to your customer.

So, why give special discount or further lower your earning if you know you are already giving more than your competitor?

As Zig Zigler said:"Good things never cheap, cheap things seldom good.", Oriantal group of restaurants offer great value to its customer. I will be happily going back again and again, whenever my pocket is filled.

Pizza Uno @ Bandar Utama

l can not remember when I took these pictures.

However, I can recall the taste and experience dining there. Reasonable price, fine food and crowded place.

So, the place seems nice. But why I did not pen it down earlier?

Good question!

Well, I messed up the pictures. And take no initiative to dig them out.

Another question. Did I revisit the restaurant?

No.

But why?

Well, just because I was not usually hanging around there does not mean the place is lame.

Brisik @ Jaya 1

A little cafe in Jaya 1 PJ gives the unique fine dining atmosphere local style.

It captures my imagination. I am still tempting to visit there. Not because of the super delicacy, but something rings in my mind, like PappaRich.

I guess I fit perfectly in their target group.

Best Chicken Rice in PJ... Restaurent Choon Yien

People call him James Ayam. A stall selling the best chicken and char siew in SS17, very near Food Foundry. James serve the best chicken rice, but the weired service.

During peak hour, customers will be very tense as the owner dose. This is because you got to prepared to be grumble and even receive some hard words from him.

Food Foundry... nice food found

I guess people hanging around PJ will know this little shop selling fine western cuisine at student price. I was brought to the place, which suppose to be an area full with hawker food. Surprise to know there is Western food offer here, and a very "fine" one.

Kanna Curry House revisited.

Places serving good food make you unintentionally drop by again and again. This is how the business grow with reputation increasing by word of mouth.

Since my previous post on Kanna Curry House, I had visited the place many times. I personally love Indian food very much. Not because of I heard from some body that it will make a man "stronger", but just crazy about the taste of curry and chili and all those spices.

Kanna Curry House revisited with few new pictures to refresh my memory, and yours.

This time I had freshly fried chicken. Par with KFC.

New Formosa Restaurant @ SS2

This post does not applicable to the disclaimer stated at the end of the page. Reason: I did not pay for the meal. This is the first time I had been invited for a food testing, and together with a bunch of flogger (food bloggers). Great experience and great sharing. We all have at least one in common, we love eating!

Murni @ SS2... mamak not mamak

Here in Malaysia we have a very unique yet popular eatery culture. Mamak stall is not a traditional Malaysia style of eating, the phenomenon started years ago in Klang Valley. It is now spread to all over the country, running not only Indian Muslim, but Indian, Malay and some time Chinese.

A mamak stall, also referred to as mapley, is a type of food establishment which serves mamak food. In Malaysia, the term mamak refers to Indian Muslim who generally own and operate them. Although traditionally operated from roadside stalls, some modern mamak stall operators have expanded their businesses into restaurant or cafe-type establishments. Mamak stalls tend to be popular among Malaysian youths as hang out spots, due to cheap food and beverages being served as well as being open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

More about mamak stall can refer to Wikipedia: Mamak Stall.

When I first patronize Murni at SS2, PJ, I thought it is a mamak stall, because it serve in mamak style, just like Steven Corner at OUG. When I saw the boss face, I got confuse, because he does not look any close to mamak, but he only speak Malay. Questions in my head lasted not long because I asked. He is peranakan.

I am pretty sure the owner is many times wealthier than me. I never seen an empty table whenever I drop by. Tables arranging so far yet they can serve in full. Amazing!

Believe it or not? I still yet to get the entire menu serving. It seems they serve everything. From roti, mee goreng, nasi campur, bread, chicken chop, to tom yam. Further to that, all foods seems good enough to make you come again.

Price? Believe it or not... extremely reasonable.

Juice blended special. Traffic light. Water melon, mango and kiwi. See the lychee and fruit cube inside? That's the one make me tempting.

Flogger gathering @ Sandias

Millions "xie xie" to Boo_licious from masak-masak to organise such a fantastic dinner gathering for all food lovers. And Babe in the City to form our group Floggers.

First time to meet so many new friends, slightly shy. (Am I?)

But hey, we had a great Mexican cuisine in Sandias at Plaza Damansara, few hours ago.

I do not think I should elaborate too much about the food as you can find plenty of photos and comments out there for sure. Those fine Maxican delight had just open my taste of life, again.

Busy schedule and hectic life lately had made me slow down in my eating journey (and that's why I am a tidy little slimmer), but a few hours spending with a gang sharing same interest is worth a million.

Taquitos Fritos

Pescado a la Veracruzana

Postre Helado de Eimon

Dun ask me what those names mean, I just copy them from the menu. Can't expect too much from a Chinaman right?

O&S Hawker Center @ PJ

One Sunday morning when I accidentally in PJ for breakfast and past through this O&S restaurant in Paramouth Garden (shop opposite Caltex), I saw sea of people sitting there.

The shop is famous of its fish head bee hun and prawn noodle. So, I must try both!

Those huge pieces are fried fish head. Seldom see such a large portion for fish head bee hun. It was well cooked.

The prawn noodle's stall sign.

Not too spicy, but very sweet with seafood taste. Guess the soup was cooked from the original prawn.

Side dish, poh piah. Hugely stuff as well.

Korea Food "Da Chang Jin".

Korean food has become popular these days because of Korean series and globalization of food culture. We can now easily enjoy Korean meal here and the price has become more for public. Not like those days, Korean was few and serve in high end restaurent specially for the rich.

I love Haeun Khon in AmCorp Mall . But this "Da Chang Jin" chain of restaurantcatches my attention and I thought I need to give it a try.

Nice environment, good decoration and very pleasant eating atmosphere. Price list shows more expensive than Haeun Khon. However, if you like Korea BBQ, here you have.

Slightly higher price, but 9 plates of dishes! Wow! I don't even know which one to start.

Stone bowl rice full of vegetables. No wonder I felt very healthy that day. Taste yummy!

Kimchi soup... I am starting to like it, especially this one. Spicy and tasty, with plenty of vegetables.

After meal, why not have a icy water chest nut? Cooling, sweet, refreshing and looks pretty!

Haeun Khon revisited.

Previously blog about this famous Korean restaurant, Haeun Khon in Amcorp Mall. It is really good that after trying few other Korean stalls, I still think it offer the most value for money.

Unique decorations... I finally found the lamp selling in a shopping mall. My room will have new feel very soon!

Kimchi soup... spicy and tasty.

I still prefer this lamb BBQ. Very well prepared.
